Each year, a bursary of $1000 will be given to two 4-H members to assist in off-setting the purchase price of a purebred Red Angus female, obtained through a public auction.

To qualify, the 4-H member must comply with the following:

• Have a 4-H project with 50% or more Red Angus breeding.
  The project animal may be a steer, heifer or cow-calf pair.
• Provide a photo of animal with or without 4-H member.
• Have photo validated (signed) by 4-H leader as to breeding.
• Write a short essay of approx 150 words stating why they
  wish to purchase a purebred Red Angus female and what
  they intend to do in the future development of this animal

The Canadian Red Angus Promotion Society also sponsors a breed award to every 4-H member who exhibits a Red Angus influenced animal.
